Quality Improvement (QI) is only as good as it’s reach. Taking quality improvement projects all the way from project to publication helps others learn how improvements can be made in many different areas of healthcare. Publication also shines a light on an organization's achievements and commitment to quality improvement. Participants in this course will gain an understanding of the differences between QI and research and learn how to prepare for a QI project with the goal of publication in mind. Additionally, participants will learn how to develop a manuscript and submit it for publication. Course activities offer a chance to practice the methods introduced in the course.Learning Objectives At the end of this course, participants should be able to:
- Understand the difference between QI and Research
- Prepare QI projects with the goal of publication
- Develop manuscripts based on QI projects
- Submit manuscripts for publication
