Whether the conversation is about Advanced Directives, illness management, death and dying, family strain, or procedure related fear and concern, a healthcare practitioner should be ready to navigate those discussions in a way that is calming and helpful to the patient and their family.

  • Explain the types of topics and responses that can make a discussion with a patient or family difficult
