Description
This course examines storytelling as a critical leadership and communication skill used to incorporate data to influence, connect, and drive action. The overall objective for the learner is to use data in presentations to tell a story, both verbally and in presentation format. Participants will explore how stories can help people understand information, connect with it, and decide what to do next. The course focuses on why stories are easier to remember than facts alone and how combining data with story can build shared understanding and trust.
Learning Objectives As a result of attending this session, participants will:
- Explain why data abundance and AI increase the risk of poor decisions
- Understand how audiences interpret visuals under time pressure and competing demands
- Apply principles for aligning visuals to audience, context, and decision purpose
- Demonstrate practical judgment for improving visual clarity and focus
