Description
Why do some people sound more engaged and persuasive when they're in an argument? Arguments have frameworks or theoretical rules which govern the access to the argument objectives; therefore, once you know these frameworks and how to access them, you'll know how to access the clash within the argumentation better. The purpose of this course to to help better understand the trichotomy of argumentation - the three argumentation frameworks. This course will discuss these argument modes, strategies to best access these arguments; as well as applying these different types of arguments to be more persuasive and to be a better advocate.
Learning Objectives: As a result of completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Define the arguments within the argument trichotomy.
- Apply argumentation within a fact argument framework.
- Synthesize and deploy arguments in a value argument framework
- Compare and contrast arguments in a policy argument framework
- Appreciate the complexity of human communication.
