Have you ever received help from a supervisor or coworker that wasn’t helpful? Cheryl Gray, Ph.D., a graduate of the doctoral program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of South Florida, will share insights on her research into unhelpful help and provide advice about how to give helpful help.
Learning Objectives As a result of attending this session, participants should be able to:
- Explain the importance of supporting one's colleagues in a healthcare setting
- Identify ways that well-intended support provision often goes wrong in a healthcare setting
- Recognize ways to improve one's own support provision to healthcare colleagues
